1. Agreement and Acceptance
By accessing and using Pet Center's website (petcenterco.com or any affiliated subdomain), placing an order for any product or pet, requesting shipping services, submitting an adoption inquiry, using any of our services, or creating an account with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all related policies referenced herein.
These terms apply to all visitors, users, and customers. If you do not agree to these terms in their entirety, you should discontinue use of our website and services immediately and not complete any transaction.
By making a purchase or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms, conditions, and policies listed on our documentation site (docs.petcenterco.com).
2. Who We Are
"Pet Center," "we," "us," "our," and "the Company" refer to Pet Center and all of its affiliated entities, subsidiaries, and service partners.

3. Eligibility and Jurisdiction
To use our services or make a purchase, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts in your jurisdiction
- Have a valid, non-revoked form of payment
- Not be restricted from purchasing from us by any applicable law or regulation
- Ensure that any purchase is lawful in the location to which you are shipping or adopting
Pet Center services are intended for use in the United States. International orders are subject to additional verification and legal requirements. You are responsible for understanding and complying with all laws in your jurisdiction regarding the import or purchase of animals and products.
4. Orders and Service Requests
When you place an order or submit a service request through Pet Center, you are making an offer to purchase. Pet Center accepts or rejects that offer at its sole discretion. An order is not considered accepted until confirmed by email or through your account.
Pet Center reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or modify any order if:
- The order information is incomplete, inaccurate, or unclear
- Payment cannot be authorized or verified
- The requested shipping destination is not available or unsafe for pet transport
- The transaction appears fraudulent, high-risk, or suspicious
- The customer has a history of disputes or payment issues with Pet Center
- The pet or product is no longer available
- Shipping or handling requirements cannot be safely met
- The order violates any local, state, or federal law
If Pet Center refuses an order, we will notify you via email and cancel any charges. Refunds for refused orders are processed within 5-7 business days.
5. Prices and Currency
All prices are displayed in United States Dollars (USD) unless explicitly stated otherwise.
The following charges may be added to your order and will be clearly shown before checkout:
- Sales taxes: Applied based on destination state and local regulations
- Shipping and handling: Varies by destination, pet type, and method
- Crate and transport fees: Required for safe animal transport
- Pet insurance: Optional transit coverage for shipped animals
- Special handling fees: For fragile items or special care requirements
- Overnight or guaranteed delivery: Premium shipping options
Pet Center does not guarantee that prices will remain constant. We reserve the right to adjust prices at any time. Prices are guaranteed only for orders that have been fully accepted and confirmed by Pet Center.
6. Payment Terms and Methods
We accept the following payment methods:
- Major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)
- PayPal Goods & Services
- Selected BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) providers
- Approved installment plans through third-party lenders
PayPal Policy
If paying via PayPal, you MUST use PayPal Goods & Services. Pet Center does not accept payments through:
- PayPal Friends & Family
- PayPal transfers or wallet payments
- Unverified PayPal accounts
Payments made through Friends & Family or other non-approved methods may be refunded and your order cancelled.
Payment Processing
All payments are processed through secure, PCI-DSS compliant payment processors. Your payment information is encrypted and never stored on Pet Center servers. A confirmation email with itemized charges will be sent immediately upon successful payment processing.
7. Deposits and Holds
Some transactions require a deposit to reserve a pet, product, or shipping slot. Deposit amounts and terms are specified in:

- Payment & Installment Agreement
- Your individual order confirmation
Deposits are non-refundable once accepted unless Pet Center fails to fulfill its obligations. Deposits are held in a secure account and applied to your final balance upon order completion.
All deposit policies must be read in conjunction with California Consumer Protection Law (CCPA) and applicable state laws.
8. Shipping and Delivery
Shipping is governed by our Shipping & Cancellation Policy. Key points:
- Delivery dates are estimates unless a guaranteed delivery window is confirmed in writing
- Pet Center is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, or events beyond reasonable control
- Customers are responsible for being available to receive deliveries
- For pet shipments, customers must have appropriate facilities prepared before delivery
- Risk of loss transfers to customer upon delivery to carrier, except for pets which transfer upon physical delivery
9. Health and Animal Care
All pets sold or adopted through Pet Center come with our 14-day health guarantee. Details are available on our 14-Day Health Guarantee page.
By purchasing or adopting a pet, you agree to:
- Schedule a veterinary wellness exam within 5 days of receiving the pet
- Follow all vaccination and parasite prevention schedules
- Provide appropriate nutrition, housing, and veterinary care
- Keep all health records and veterinary documentation
- Report any health concerns to Pet Center within the 14-day guarantee window
10. Returns and Refunds for Products
Product returns are governed by our Returns & Refunds Policy.
IMPORTANT: Live animals are NOT treated as returnable products and cannot be returned or exchanged like regular merchandise. Live animals are protected under our 14-Day Health Guarantee and applicable adoption terms, which provide different remedies.
11. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy rights are fully explained in our:

By using Pet Center, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal information as described in those policies.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PET CENTER IS NOT LIABLE FOR:
- Losses caused by carrier delays, weather disruptions, or events beyond reasonable control
- Customer misuse, improper care, or negligence after purchase or delivery
- Inaccurate information provided by the customer in their order
- Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
- Lost profits or loss of business opportunity
TOTAL LIABILITY: Pet Center's total liability for any claim arising from your use of our website or purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific order or service in question.

15. Miscellaneous Legal Terms
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
Entire Agreement
These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, Data Retention & Security Policy, Shipping & Cancellation Policy, and all other referenced policies on docs.petcenterco.com, constitute the entire agreement between you and Pet Center regarding your use of our services and purchase of our products.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Waiver
Pet Center's failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
