Pet Purchase & Adoption Guarantee
At Pet Center, we want every customer to feel 100% confident — whether you are purchasing a pet or adopting one through our program. We back every transaction with a clear, written guarantee and transparent process so you are never left wondering where your money went or whether your pet is safe.
Our Core Promise
Every pet sold or adopted through Pet Center is veterinarian-health-checked before transfer. We do not release any pet without a valid health certificate. You will receive documentation, photos, and a submission reference number for every transaction.
14-Day Health Guarantee
All pets come with a 14-day health guarantee from the date of delivery or pickup. If a licensed veterinarian diagnoses a serious pre-existing or congenital condition within that window, you may be entitled to a refund, replacement, or vet cost reimbursement depending on the circumstances.
Installment Plans & Payment Options
Pet Center offers flexible payment options to make pet ownership accessible to everyone. Here's what you need to know about how your data is handled in these arrangements.
Available Payment Plans
What it is: Buy Now, Pay Later service provided by PayPal allowing you to split your purchase into 4 interest-free payments made every 2 weeks.
Subject to: PayPal approval and their credit assessment.
Data handling: PayPal may conduct a soft or hard credit inquiry to determine eligibility. This is handled entirely by PayPal and is NOT stored by Pet Center.
Payment protection: PayPal Purchase Protection applies to your transaction.
Key benefit: No deposit required. Complete approval and payment in minutes.
What it is: Pet Center's proprietary installment plan allowing you to split large purchases over 2–4 months.
How it works: 50% deposit required to activate. Remaining balance split into monthly auto-payments.
Application process: Complete our installment form with proof of identity, address, and funding availability.
Approval time: 24–48 hours. Signed agreement and payment schedule emailed after approval.
Late fees: 5% fee applies if payment is not received within 7 days of due date.
Early payoff: No penalty. Pay remaining balance at any time without additional charges.
Card tokenization: Stripe processes all recurring charges. We see only the last 4 digits and card brand.
What it is: Flexible payment option where you only pay after confirming receipt of your order. Payment due 30 days after delivery.
No upfront payment: You are not charged at checkout. Payment is triggered only after confirming receipt.
Interest-free: No interest or hidden fees. 0% APR for 30 days.
Late fees: 5% of outstanding balance applies after 7-day grace period past the 30-day due date.
Early payoff: Pay in full at any time without penalty.
Cancellations: If order is cancelled or returned before due date, your BNPL obligation is voided.
Authorization: By accepting BNPL terms, you authorize Stripe and our payment partner to charge your authorized payment method on or after the due date.
Anti-Scam & Buyer Protection
The pet industry, especially online, is unfortunately targeted by scammers. We want to protect you and give you every tool to verify that Pet Center is legitimate before you send any money.
How to Verify You're Dealing with Real Pet Center

- We never ask for payment via gift cards, wire transfers, Zelle to personal accounts, or cryptocurrency
- We always provide an itemized invoice BEFORE any payment is due
- We provide a transaction ID and email receipt AFTER every payment
- We never ask you to "keep this transaction private" or "send payment quickly"

- Uploaded documents (IDs, address proofs) are stored in access-restricted server directories
- Payment data is processed entirely by PCI-DSS-certified processors — we never see raw card numbers
- Server access is restricted to authorized personnel only
- We perform regular reviews of security practices and access logs
- Temporary uploaded files are automatically purged after 2 hours if not claimed
